After today went sour, I totally forgot that Yo-Jo came to school today. Yo-Jo taught our 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders all about studying for the MSA (Maryland State Assessment).

Apparently, we are so obsessed with state-wide testing, that we have cartoon characters who come into our schools to stress the importance of being well rested, well fed and attentive on the biggest day of your young lives. Dum, Dum, Dum...State Assessment Day.

Let me tell you- Yo-Jo is one crazy Mo-Fo. He went running through the crowds shaking his big blue booty. He sat on one teacher's lap, pretended to kiss the custodian, and for the grand finale, he came over to me- took my hand and performed a little slow dance. In front of about 100 kids and teachers.

I can only imagine that my face was all sorts of red. Nothing like being harassed by a 300 pound hairy Yo-Jo.
