DownEast Basics Strikes Again

I have been so good with my spending lately.

Of course, I had to get the new fall Down East Basics catalog in the mail today. Seeing as though my day was pretty awful and exhausting, I had to take a little peek. I've narrowed it down to my top four choices.

I love skirts- especially now that I'm tipping the scale at a trillion pounds. Skirts and dresses fit so much nicer than pants.

This one is so adorable as well. I love the retro look. Plus, it only costs 25 bucks.

A sweet dress with an even sweeter price tag. I can't remember specifics, but it's definitely under 30 bucks.

I'm all about yellow, and this shirt is adorable.

In other news, Tennis went much better than expected yesterday. I can't hit the ball straight, but my follow through looks promising. I'm excited for next week-- it felt great to get out in the fresh air and hit the ball around.

Unfortunately, all of the aerobic benefits of tennis last night were shattered when we capped off our lesson with a trip to Noodles and Company. We also hit up Marshalls, but that didn't effect my stomach.

In fact, I was much happier when I came home last night with the cutest deep purple trench coat. I'm a huge fan of purple and I've been eyeing a purple trench at Banana Republic for weeks. My mom said that I'm not allowed to spend 130 bucks to look like Barney the Dinosaur so I've only been admiring from afar.

However, right smack dab in the middle of Marshalls was a gorgeous purple trench for only 30 bucks. I bought it.

Anyways, I'm blabbering and I'm off to make a pork stir fry and to drink my shitty day away with boyfriend.

*9-11, I'll always remember. I remember where I was, what I was doing, and all of the people effected by this terrible act of violence and cruelty. You are in my thoughts.*

Good picks. I like the 2nd skirt and the black dress the best. I still haven't ordered from them yet. Maybe when I take myself off my spending freeze, I will! For now, I'll just live vicariously through you! Good job on the purple trench...don't you just love a bargain!

If you think those are cute.. you should look at the rest of the catalog. I could barely narrow it down.
