Hmm..

My mom thinks that my wedding shoes are too high. She thinks that 2.5 inches is going to suck after 8 hours. I thought that 2.5 was about as small as I could get.

I did find one pair with heels under 2 inches, but they weren't quite as pretty.

I haven't been married before, so how high is too high?

* I should note that I used to wear heels all the time. However, in the last two years (working in a school) I wear flats almost every single day.

Now I don't know what to do.

I wore shoes that had maybe a 1/2 inch heel on them. My father didn't understand why I didn't go for a higher heel. I wanted to be comfortable. I also am taller and if I wore anything higher than I would be towering over my now husband.

One of my sisters wore Keds that I decorated for her at her reception because she wanted to wear tennis shoes and the other sister wore heels until her feet hurt and then she just had on a pair of ballet slippers.

I am short and wear heels often, and my wedding shoes had 3 1/2 inch heels. I find that the heel of the shoe is not what makes it uncomfortable, but the way the shoe is made. I would try wearing your shoes for a bit around the house and see how they feel.

Get married in the shoes you want but bring flip flops. There will be a point in the evening where you just don't care about the shoes you are wearing.

you can always slap on flip flops or ballet slippers at the reception! if i were getting married in a traditional way (i.e. not on a beach or in Vegas) i would wear ballet slippers :)

What I would worry about is the weak knees and if you get nervous or if you are standing for a long period of time...then you might get wobbly. Think of it like this, no one will see your feet...seriously. :) The bottom of your dress will get a little dirty no matter what by the end of the night. If you think you can handle it, go for it. You may want to get flip flops or flats for the reception.

By the way, I sent an award your way!

I don't think 2.5'' seems that hight, but I agree with it is probably how the shoe is made rather than the height. I would just go with these if you like them and take some flip flops for later if you need them!
