My Interview

Megan from Wandering DC tagged me for an interview! Here are her questions...

1. What is your drink of choice? Now this is a tough question. Non-alcoholic- I have an addiction to soda- I think it's the carbonation-- and it cannot be diet. My favorites include regular old Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper, and Cherry Coke! Once you add alcohol to the mix things get a little harder, I enjoy Champagne, Sauvingnon Blanc, Fume Blanc, Miller Lite and Yuengling.

2. Do you have a favorite quote? I sure do! It's from sex and the city. Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.

My new favorite quote (because we are using it on our wedding programs is.......) Today I marry my best friend. The one I laugh with, life for, love.

3. What was your first job and what did you hate most about it? My first job was technically babysitting. My first real job was a bagel girl and sandwich master at Einstein Brothers Bagels. If you asked me today, I would tell you that the worst thing about it was waking up at 6am on the weekends. Surprisingly, it didn't really bother me when I was 17. The worst part was probably my creepy 37 year old boss that stalked me and asked me out every Saturday.

4. What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? I love my spare time! I blog, I read, I watch the DVR, I hang out with my cute fiance, drink wine with friends, go out to dinner, pet the kitties, nap, and more recently, Jazzercise.

5. Do you like risks, or do you avoid them? What major risks have you taken in your life? This is a tough one. I don't think that I'm a real risk-taker, but I'm not opposed to them. I'm a bit of a control freak so by definition I shouldn't take risks, but you'd be surprised to know that I've taken many risks in my life. One of the biggest (and most recent, I won't delve back too far) was moving to Maryland. I didn't have a job, I didn't have a house, I didn't have any friends. I just said screw it, I'm sick of Boston, I'm moving. I did it all on my own and I didn't freak out about it even once. I dread and worry about the little life changes, but I never fret about the big ones.

Now if you would like a turn to answer MY questions.. (I'll send you my own)

1. Leave me a comment & your e-mail address saying, "Interview me." If you dare.
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. (I get to pick the questions).
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

The first five 'askers' get the interview!
