On Wednesday, I was testing a fifth grader. FYI- a fifth grader is 10 years old.
I can't really get into specifics, because my testing is confidential and all, but lets pretend that I asked him why he suspects that policemen wear uniforms.
His answer......
"Well isn't it obvious? It's because many ladies like their men in uniform."
Nice answer lil' guy. Unfortunately, I couldn't give him any points.

Coincidentally, I had forgotten to blog about this kid until I read two blogs today that reminded me of it. Two blogs that clearly stated that they didn't lust after policemen and/or find them or their uniforms attractive.
I should tell the fifth grader that he's wrong.
I suspect that he would say "Oh Snap" and continue singing T-Pain.

Another side note- I cannot let a kid say Oh Snap without telling them that it's my cat's name (yeah, I'm obsessed). I didn't name him Oh Snap for the kids and/or to look cool (I mean hello, I'm in my twenties, I say Oh Snap), but they most certainly get a kick out of it.

That is hilarious! I am pretty sure their random answers are what make them so fun to teach. I would have nothing to talk about some days if some of my students didn't do anything interesting. haha!
That is too funny! Love the answer!
I had so much trouble scoring that part of the test because I hated giving zeros if the answer was creative:-)
