Cat Help

(For those of you that commented about the eyelashes--the one's that i'm referring to are actual extensions that last upwards of 2 months (refills are much cheaper) and shed normally with your natural lashes.  They take two hours to apply and are permanent).

Moving on to the Kids (cats).

I need help controlling these little rascals.  I decided that once the fiance actually complained two mornings in a row, that it was time for an intervention.

Every night, at around 3am it's kitty party time.  They run, they chase each other, they jump all over the bed.  They do this all in our room, despite the fact that we have other more acceptable rooms to fool around in.

At about 4am (the fiance feeds them at 5:30am), Snap religiously crawls on my pillow and starts trying to chew my hair.  I throw him off the bed, and he's back within minutes --chomping away.  They don't do this every night, and I don't notice them every night, but I do notice them at least 3-4 nights per week (IT'S ANNOYING).

Sage is an innocent bystander and sits, waiting patiently for on the dresser.

However, once Snap eats at least two strands of hair, I get up and lock them both out of the bedroom.

This is when Sage becomes naughty.  Whenever we lock them out, they sit at the door scratching and crying all morning.

It really is annoying, but I'm so in love with them that I don't get very angry.  The fiance loves them as well, but not nearly as much as I do.

We need help.  Ideas please?

I really hope someone has some good suggestions... my cats do the same thing! They love to play with us. They seem to really love to play with us in the middle of the night. One cat brings toys to bed, meowing and meowing as she carries them down the hallway. And you are right - locking them out does no good!

I wish I had some suggestions . . . we sure love our doggies but boy do they drive me nuts at night! Roscoe gets up one, sometimes two, times a night to go outside to use the potty. Usually between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Me and my fiance are practically kicking each other out the bed so we don't have to be the one to take them out. So crazy. Animals are just like children. At least you and I will be prepared when we do have children. HA!

They are probably just going through a phase and you'll have to just wait them out :(! Mine have done this before and they seem to move on to something new in a few weeks. Maybe you should try playing with them right before going to bed so that they are tired and hopefully, it will expend some of their energy. Sometimes MoMo gets kind of annoying when he is wanting attention so if we have a good play session before bed, it helps. Good luck!!!

Our feline sons have the same pattern. Thankfully it is Bill that they chew on, but we can't lock them out either. And if we do close the door when we go to bed we get a 3am wake up call that sounds like someone breaking through the bottom of our door.

Welcome to cats.
