Getting to know us

I saw this on the Family of Shorts blog, and I decided that I wanted to play along..

I tag whoever wants to play, but if you do play, make sure that you let me know. I want to read all about ya'll.

Ashley and the Fiance

1. What are your middle names? Nicole & Patrick

2. How long have you been together? We've been together since October 2007, we've been engaged since November 2008, and we're getting married in October 2009.

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? About a month and a half. I distinctly remember texting my friend Noelle, "we have a really cute kickball ref" in early September 2007.

4. Who asked whom out? He asked me out, but it took him 1.5 months to muster up the courage to do it.

5. How old are each of you? 27 & 27

6. Whose siblings do you see the most? That's a hard one. I think that we probably see his siblings more because my brother lives in Virginia Beach and we need to beg my sister to drive on the capital beltway (aka it doesn't happen).

7. Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple? Probably the fact that I'm a homebody, tied closely with the fact that I talk a lot. =]

8. Did you go to the same school? No, we weren't even raised in the same state.

9. Who is smarter? He would probably say that I am smarter. He pokes fun of my millions of masters degrees and honor roll certificates on a semi-regular basis. I happen to think that he's smarter. He knows big words. =]

10. Who is the most sensitive? Neither of us are very sensitive or emotional. Honestly, he's probably more sensitive than I am. I used to be more sensitive before the anti anxiety medication. Ha. I'm hoping to get it back someday.

11. Where do you eat out most as a couple? We generally try new place whenever we go out. We do have a common theme and enjoy Mexican and Asian the most. The only semi regular staple that we have is Acme for wings and beer (don't go there to party and/or after 8pm-- unless you like partying with midshipman).

12. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? This is pathetic, but I think the furthest we've gone is New Jersey. We really need to branch out there, huh?

13. Who has the craziest exes? I do not know a thing about his exes-- obviously b/c I'm his first and only true love. ha. I have a crazy ex, but he's left me alone for the last year or two.

14. Who has the worst temper? Hmmm, that's tough. It takes a lot to make either one of us flip.

15. Who does the cooking? I love to cook and I get home earlier than him, so I usually cook more. However, the fiance is actually a better cook than I am and is no stranger to the kitchen. If I don't feel like cooking, he's always up for it.

16. Who is the neat-freak? Me by a million trillion miles. When I met the boy, you couldn't even find his floor. Now, his clothes are color coordinated- thanks to me.

17. Who is more stubborn? We are both very stubborn. It makes things more exciting.

18. Who hogs the bed? HE hogs the bed, but he'd totally say that I do. It's hard not to hog a full size bed.

19. Who wakes up earlier? Monday through Friday he's up at least an hour before I am. On the weekends, he usually sleeps in later.

20. Where was your first date? Pussers Landing for an outdoor dinner on the dock and Castlebay for a concert.

21. Who is more jealous? Oh totally me.

22. How long did it take to get serious? Not very- we will have met, gotten engaged and been married within two years.

23. Who eats more? Him. I try to keep up, hence the fact that my jeans are too tight.

24. Who's better with the computer? Please. I can't even upload pictures very well.

25. Who drives when you are together? I hate driving. I try to make him drive whenever possible. He usually obliges, but he always drives my car.

Hi Ashley! Just saw you on DC Nearlyweds and popped over to check out your blog. I needed some blogging inspiration so I stole this and posted it. Our wedding is in Maryland just a week after yours! Can't wait to hear about your plans.
