Paint LOSER

I suuuuck at picking out paint.

I don't like to wait so I often just run out, pick out a color, buy a whole gallon and whip out the brush.

Not a great idea.

I had to go through three different greens before finding the perfect one.

Today, I took the day off of work because, HELLO, it's summer. On the to do list-- painting our bedroom. We picked out a light blue color because we were going for that beachy, cottage feel. I know plenty of people with beautiful light blue rooms, but every time I pick out a blue it looks like a baby boy is about to move in (not happening).

I spent a few good pool friendly hours painting our bedroom. In some light, I loved it. When the lights were off, it looked like WOAH, HI BABY MOVING IN. I am torn. When the lights are on, it takes on a grayish blue hue, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like that all of the time.

I'm a spaz and changed my mind about the color every time the sun went behind the clouds, so of course I kept painting. and painting. and painting.

I almost painted the entire room (and it's a giant one) and I'm going to see if it grows on me. I'm thinking that it won't since when the fiance came home he took one look at it and said, it's not very grown up.

Awww shit.

I saw that light blue on a show and they were afraid of the same thing until they started decorating. They used the chocolate browns and bronze shimmery colors in their bedding and curtains to make it look more adult. It looked really good, too. I am like you though...my living room has to be repainted because I have spent a year letting the color "grow on me". Needless to say, it hasn't!

That sucks! I do love blue and brown together. It is really in right now so you can find lots to decorate with. Maybe put a brown stripe up, or paint one wall brown.

You sound like my hubby. LOL! He was painting our living room a yellow, and he picked it out. Well, after painting nearly the entire HUGE living room...well, I HATED the color. So, back to HD we went to get MORE paint...this time a better yellow. We still aren't totally pleased with it, but it works. I HATE painting...it's such a PITA!

We have a cool Caribbean blue in our playroom, and I LOVE it! I love the whole blue/chocolate theme though. :) Good luck!
