19 19 19

I know I don't write much anymore, but we've hit the teens mark.

What have I been up to?

Finalizing the florals (it's a blurry one). I love them, but we're removing all traces of yellow on the big day. The roses are wrong too (we're going with almost black roses), but you get the idea!

... and trying on my wedding band. I want to try it on, on the daily.

I JUST returned home from my bachelorette party weekend on the Delaware shore. Expect pictures very soon!

Would you believe that I'm going to be married in 26 days?

Before or After

Okay ladies,
Are you a morning work out gal or an evening work out gal?
I HATE waking up early.  I sleep until the very last second possible, every day of the week.

If I have to to leave by 8, I know that it takes me approximately 40 minutes to wake, shower, do my make-up, pack a lunch and hit the road.  As a result, I'm up no earlier than 7:20 am.

On the other hand; I never, ever press snooze.  Although I prefer to stay in bed, my feet hit the floor the second that the alarm clock rings.

The point of my random ramblings-- I hate working out after work most days.  I'm tired, I'm ready for dinner, and there are always fun things on T.V.

How awful is it to wake up a little bit earlier to work out?

Will it help with motivation?

I know, I've been a relatively sucktastic blogger lately.
I can't help it, I'm currently overwhelmed.
Somehow, the calender has switched into overdrive and it's suddenly become September 15th.  Mid-September. WTF?
I'm getting married in 32 days.  As a result, everyone wants a piece of me.
Last night I met with the D.J. and our Emcee (MC?)-- and had to drive about an HOUR to do so.
Today I have to go to another dress fitting.
On Sunday I have to meet with the day of coordinator to determine the wedding day schedule.  It just doesn't stop.
Our videographer is dying to interview us for the video.
My mom calls me on the daily with questions because so and so hasn't returned their RSVP card yet.
Is your head spinning yet? Cause mine is.
Let me let you in on a little secret-- I can be a serious control freak.  I like to be in charge and I like to know what's up.  I was scared that I was going to turn into a SERIOUS bridezilla.
Surprisingly-- I don't think that I am one.  As long as I have a priest, a fiance and a marriage license, I think the day will turn out okay.
My mom wants me to go to the venue to decide between two table clothes.  My brain is saying, please playa- does it really matter?
Apparently it does (according to mom).

Thanks to Ashley Paige and Patty Ann for making me feel better about buying....

and this.....

....and this!

I can't wait to try them on.
You know you love me,

To Blair or Not to Blair?

How old is too old to wear a Blair Waldorf inspired headband?

I don't love her attitude, but that girl has the best clothes.

Tips or No Tips

Do any of you ladies have an opinion on fake nails (tips)?
I've never had them done, but my natural nails are a little sad looking.
I bite them too often and they are quite thin.
Is it worth trying the fakes for my wedding?
Please, weigh in!

That Reminds Me

Miss Attitude reminded me about why I'm exhausted today:
I was up until Midnight (and it was a school night) watching the Steelers whoop it up against the Titans.  I ended up sleeping on the couch because I had to catch every last minute of the game.
Football season really is my favorite time of year.  What's not to love about team spirit, painted faces, big jerseys (so I can eat more bar food) and crisp air?
For those of you that watched it, did you see poor Hines Ward after he fumbled? I love him-- in fact, I'm going to name my first dog after him. =]

What a Difference SES Makes

I loved my school last year.
Scratch that-- I hated my school last year, but I love, love, loved my kids.
I've spent the last three years working in Title One schools.  For those of you that are not in the know, Title One schools generally house the neediest and most underprivileged kids in an area.  Let's be honest, I wouldn't hang out in their neighborhoods at 12 noon.  The kids are great, but the parents are ridiculous and generally unsupportive.
This year I've been moved to another area of the county-- one of the wealthiest areas.  Last year I couldn't get a parent to attend a meeting and now this year they come with lawyers and advocates.
One huge perk-- these parents are generous.  I just got a fifty dollar (YES FIFTY) gift card from the PTO, just cause.   There may be some perks to this SES change afterall.

Everytime something pops into my head...'s gone within 2.3252343 seconds lately.
Generally it's a thought about something that I need to accomplish.
I don't see that happening at all today.

Still Shredding

Can you believe it?!?!
I'm still getting my "shred" on daily.
I'm also still fat.
No progress yet, but my endurance has improved greatly.  We hit the ten day mark and switch to level 2 on Friday.
Here's hoping that the pounds just melt off.
I'm getting married in 38 days.  Someone send me a checklist to make sure that I've got it all covered. =]

Shopping Alert

This picture doesn't really do it justice, but this dress is adorable.

The color is rich, the fit is great and it's only 14.00 bucks!

Oh, and Walmart only charges 97 cents for shipping- so really, you have no excuse.

The Duggars must get it on
Someone must be doing it like rabbits to keep up with the one kid a year ratio.

Blondish Part 2

If only I could look still be this blonde--- naturally.

Gone are the days of natural platinum, now I need to frequent the hair dressers chair to achieve that look.

Do you want to know my secret?

I get my highlights and lowlights at the local beauty school. The girls there always do a great job (a teacher is watching at all times) and I've never spent more than forty bucks for a full head of highlights.

I used to do it myself by the box, but for forty bucks. Why not?

Pink Sass asked me how often I get mine done-- generally about every 7-8 weeks, but it totally depends on what I see when I look in the mirror. =]

I get my low lights matched -exactly- to my natural color so that I can wait a little longer between sessions.

Not Drunk.....

...... BUT ........

I decided that it's time to start operation skinny bride.

(ha, for real this time).

Anyways, the plan?

I've joined a group of fabulous, hardworking ladies in an attempt to complete Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, everyday this September.

We'll be marking our progress here daily . Come cheer us on!

Dancing Shoes?

The first dance.
It's an interesting subject.  We've got our song-- Keith Urban, obvi.
We just don't know how to dance to it.
Several months ago, we decided that wanted to choreograph a crazy first dance (you know what I mean, you've seen them on you tube).
Now that we're closer to the wedding-- I have no time to choreograph and I know myself--  I'd be fretting and freaking out about the dance until it happened.
I can picture myself zoning out the priest, while counting eight steps in my head.
What's more important on my wedding day?
Putting on a show or remembering the moment.
The attention whore in me wants to put on a show, but the anxious side of me doesn't think that it's worth all of the trouble.
So, since we're probably going with the regular, yet romantic first dance-- did you take lessons beforehand?
We're fine when it comes to dancing crazy, but neither of us know how to slow dance.
Weigh in, please!

I'm officially getting married next month.
and yes, I'm getting my highlights done tonight.
