Before or After

Okay ladies,
Are you a morning work out gal or an evening work out gal?
I HATE waking up early.  I sleep until the very last second possible, every day of the week.

If I have to to leave by 8, I know that it takes me approximately 40 minutes to wake, shower, do my make-up, pack a lunch and hit the road.  As a result, I'm up no earlier than 7:20 am.

On the other hand; I never, ever press snooze.  Although I prefer to stay in bed, my feet hit the floor the second that the alarm clock rings.

The point of my random ramblings-- I hate working out after work most days.  I'm tired, I'm ready for dinner, and there are always fun things on T.V.

How awful is it to wake up a little bit earlier to work out?

Will it help with motivation?

i also love sleep but i'd much rather wake up early than work out in the evenings. it's not too bad once you get used to it, ans supposedly it's more ideal to work out first thing in the morning.

Hmmm- my work schedule is a bit different. I work 11-6 but usually get up around 8 and enjoy some quiet time while my roommate is at work. After work is my time to go to the park, take walks, run errands, etc. I am such a night person...mornings are just not for me!

Well I'm not working right now so obviously I can't exactly compare... but I can ONLY work out in the mornings. By afternoon, I can come up with half a dozen reasons to skip working out.

I literally put my feet on the floor, put on a sports bra, and get my shoes on. Not even a few steps can derail me that way.

Plus, I am more vigilant about healthy eating if I work out in the AM because I feel so accomplished coming into the day.

Just my 5 cents...

I wish that I could just get up early to workout because I like thethought of getting up, working out, and getting ready for my day. I leave my house at 6:20 and get up at 5. I just don't have time to get to the gym that early and come back. I try to work out after work, but by then there are 343 reasons why I can't do it then. I feel your pain! Do whatever will keep you motivated though. I would suggest finding a reliable work-out buddy that you can meet at the gym each day. It keeps you there because you won't want to let them down.

Yes! I am soooo a morning-worker-outer! Makes for a much more energetic day, plus it gets it over with early! You don't have to dread doing it for the rest of your day.
Try it!

I heard last night though that it's better to work out in the evening. Better for your heart!
