Check, Check & Check

It's amazing how much you can get done when you're not getting married.

The year of my engagement was the best of my life (it's a given for a naturally born planner)-- but I have to admit- I have a whole lot more time on my hands now.

Over the last two days my husband and I have managed to....

- Paint our living room Harvest Brown (Behr) and fall in love with the new color. We originally painted our living room 6 months ago and we used Glidden's Water Chesnut. The color was weak, it reminded me of a flesh color (gross), and I couldn't wait to repaint. HB made me wait until after the wedding to repaint - I think he was hoping I'd forget about it. We make a good team though- I trim and he mans the roller.

- Hang our wood blinds in the spare bedroom. We've been living without blinds or curtains in that room since May.

- Hang curtains in the living room. We've had bamboo blinds up for quite some time now. We flanked each of the windows with beachy sheers as well for a more "finished" cottage look.

- Raked up a trillion leaves. I'm serious-- my neighbor girls spent hours in my leaves mountain this afternoon.

Next up, install roman shades in our bedroom and rearrange the living room furniture. I'll post pictures soon.
