Mid-Atlantic Folks....

Calling all girls (and the few random boys) from the Mid-Atlantic states--

I need some advice (lots, preferably),

Where is your favorite place to escape to for a weekend away?

My husband and I in the process of planning a few weekend trips during the upcoming months, but we need some help deciding where to go!  Have you been anywhere (within a 4 hour radius of Washington D.C.) exciting?

I was going to say Ocean City, MD. but forgot that you live so close that you've probably been there a ton of times. You could always come up to Philadelphia. Weekend getaways can be so much fun. I might need to keep checking this post for ideas.

Staunton, VA is SUCH a fun and cute place to go as a couple. My BF and I are going back for Valentine's Day since we had such a nice time there this past November. We stayed at the Stonewall Jackson hotel that is right in the middle of town. Pretty affordable place actually! There are tons of cute places to eat, a little trolley that goes around town, a Shakespeare theater, bars, wineries, an open air market, glass blowing, and a brewery all either in the town or close by. We were able to walk almost everywhere. Have fun with your trips!!

Cape May, NJ is lovely. Lexington, VA is 30 mins south of Staunton and a great tiny town. Also, St. Mary's County is nice and Williamsburg, VA has some cute inns and wineries.

Charlottesville, VA is great. Staunton is great. The Luray Caverns area is beautiful (think spring, though!) And the wineries in Leesburg area are beautiful! Happy traveling! :)
