Bathroom Remodel

I am blessed to have two very talented and very handy parents. If you asked me if I appreciated their handiwork skills when I was ten, I would have said, heck no. That's because I was hanging drywall by the age of ten. I spent many a day during my youth playing in drywall buckets. Now that I'm older, I appreciate their expertise and take full advantage of their remodeling know how when they're willing to come help.

Since we bought this place last May, I've been wanting to change up the downstairs half bath a little bit. It wasn't awful, so I wasn't in a huge rush, but it left much to be desired.

Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. After fifty million attempts to scrub this floor clean, it just didn't have any shine left in it. It was dirty, dingy and the baseboards were a wreck. The previous owner didn't believe in using a level.

This was the hideous light fixture that the previous owners installed. I hated it. The entire bathroom was fitted in gold. I like to wear gold on my body, but not in my bathroom.

I actually liked the color blue that was on the walls, but I had no idea what it was and didn't feel inspired enough to color match it. Instead, I wanted an overhaul.

My parents agreed to spend about 6 hours here on Saturday and another 6 hours with us on Sunday and we banged out a bathroom design on a dime.

Remodel pics are coming soon........
