The Life and Times of a School Psychologist

There comes a time in every school year when school needs to end. Like last week.

Kids are annoying me, teachers are annoying me.  Emergency meetings because Billy is freaking out are annoying me.  There are 6 days left.  Really? Are the meetings, drama and freak outs necessary?  You've survived 180 days with him, what's 6 more?

It happens every year around this time.

Yes, I've had a great year.  Light years better than last year.

-BUT-

That doesn't mean that I don't need a break from these kids (and maybe even the staff more so than the kids sometimes).

I look forward to a summer with my fellow school psychologist friends, filled with time to read to further my knowledge, actual lunches with someone over four feet tall, and for some peace and quiet, sans children.

The countdown has begun.

Ha ha! I live in our school psychologist's office! My autistic student, she, and I have quite the relationship! I can see where you are coming from for sure! :)
