Bit of a Dagger

Every time I drink iced tea (always unsweetened - sweetened is gross) I either feel nauseous or I puke.

Suffice to say I do not drink iced tea very often.

I can drink iced peppermint tea that I make at home, but I have trouble buying tea when I'm out.  Last summer I had iced tea from subway and puked in my swimming pool parking lot.  Today, I tried some Chick-Fila iced tea and I broke out in dry heaves on the way home  (I'm still drinking it though-- because I'm an idiot and I am hoping that I can handle tea on a full stomach after a delightful chickfila salad).

That being said, I can't drink anything with artificial sweeteners either so diet coke is out the window.  Artificial sweeteners make me sweaty, dizzy, nauseous and faint.

This is a huge pain in the ass.

Water gets boring after awhile and there is seriously NOTHING that I can drink without a bajillion calories in it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Life gets hard when you can only drink water, beer and wine-- and lets face it-- it's unacceptable to drink beer on your lunch break.

Have you tried the Crystal Light Pure Fitness water sweetener packets? They have no artificial sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. They used cane sugar as the sweetener. We buy them to sweeten/flavor our oldest son's water b/c he hates the regular water. Also, have you tried the multitude of flavors of Vitamin Water? Those are two suggestions for you. Good luck! I LOVE sweet tea...drinking a glass now with my turkey and bacon wrap. :)

I drink La Croix all of the time. It is a flavored seltzer water and you can get it at Costco. I also get the lemon flavored seltzer water at Trader Joe's.

I've been drinking a lot of Gatorade lately. It's a nice change of pace from water.

Sounds like it's an issue with ice teas that are from a syrupy concentrate. Stick with the sun brewed stuff, it's yummier anyway. :)

Courtney-- I actually puke from the sun brewed stuff. The kind I've been drinking is free of any sweetener at all.

It's for the best because artificial sweeteners are seriously terrible for you. Like there's possible links to them and cancer incidences, PLUS it tricks your body to the point that it can't actually process real sugar anymore leading people to gain weight quicker and unable to lose it.

I've been drinking Skinny Water and Fuze lately. Both are pretty good, though I think I'm partial to Fuze.

Chick-fil-A tea makes you puke? That's like a sin against nature or something.
