Oh, that Reminds ME

Always a Northerner is also a school psychologist and she reminded me of a funny story--
In the pervy school world we call children with emotional disturbance, ED for short.
Talk about awkward.  Sorry parents, Joey appears to have ED.
They really need to change that to social/emotional disability or SED.  It sounds much more appropriate.
When my husband and I started dating I told him a lot about my job, because lets face it, it's interesting.  However, for the first entire month of our relationship he thought that ED was Erectile Dysfunction and he was totally weirded out about it.  He didn't ask me otherwise (because it's embarrassing) until a few weeks later.  It still cracks me up to think about it.  My husband probably thought that I was obsessed with 10 year olds with erectile dysfunction.  NOT cool, but at least it didn't scare him away.

School stories are the best! I always say that I have ELD (eclectic learning disabilities) because I feel like I have some and it's a different one everyday! I think that's what happens when you work in a school!
