Fwd: Friday is Here!

This was my kind of week. Teacher work days on Tuesday and Wednesday. A snow day on Thursday and a 2 hour delay today! I could handle this schedule week after week....
Lets talk about busyness. Is it just me, or do people ignore your texts, phone calls, and emails?
It amazes me that in this day and age, I can only confidently think of two-three people that regularly respond to my calls/emails/texts within 24-48 hours (family not included) on a consistent basis or every time. Do I smell? Do people not like me? Is it just me?
I get that people are busy. But I'm busy too.
I work AT LEAST 40 hours per week. I spend an hour at the gym five days a week. I blog (almost) daily. I watch a lot of TV. I cook dinner every night. I meal plan. I grocery shop. I clean my own house. I do my own laundry. I read a book almost every week and I still could make time to do other things.
It's funny because I have friends that marvel at my ability to have a job, a life and time to blog. It's honestly not that hard. But it has made me start thinking-- am I not busy enough? Am I not cool because I have time to do other things and because I'm usually free to hang out if invited? How busy it too busy?

I think people make time for what's important to them and email is just not important to everyone. After knocking out 100 emails at work, the last thing I want to do is read personal email. I tend to be better by text. Or text me that you sent an email. I know, I know...high maintenance.

I do all of those things and take care of two kids. I get stressed. I freak out. I want to scream. But I can still find time to do all of those things and squeeze in a shopping trip or night out with girlfriends. And I can respond to texts. Some people are just lazy or fail at time management.
