Diary of a Pregnant Lady: Week 8 & 9

Week Eight

Due Date: November 18, 2011

How Big is Baby: He/she is the size of a Raspberry

Total weight gain: One pound.

Morning Sickness: So far so good!

Cravings: Nothing in particular—aside from junk like pizza and fast food—but that’s not due to a craving, it’s due to laziness and exhaustion.

Sleep: I’m exhausted this week. More so than any other week.

I can't live without: Green Apple Italian Ice from Ritas and my husband’s help.

I miss: Having a clean house. I have no ENERGY when I get home from work and my house is suffering greatly.

I am looking forward to: Hearing the heartbeat on April 25th—I’m still totally anxious that something has gone wrong.

Milestones: Our baby is moving his/her eyes, fingers, legs and toes!

Exercise: I’ve been walking on the treadmill and I’ve been walking the dog, but nothing compared to my pre-pregnancy routine.

Diet: Junk—but I’ve been eating A LOT more fruit this week. A whole pineapple, clementines, strawberries and apples.

Movement: The doctor says yes, but none that I can feel.

Gender: I’m still thinking that it’s a boy

Labor Signs: It’s far too soon for this

Week Nine

Due Date: November 18, 2011

How Big is Baby: The blob is the size of a Green Olive!

Total weight gain: 2-3 pounds. Wah. Too soon.

Morning Sickness: Hopefully in the clear. I have random waves of nausea that go away quickly.

Cravings: Watermelon. I wish watermelon wasn’t so expensive right now.

Sleep: Surprisingly, I can see the other side of 9:30 now.

I can't live without: Still sleep!

I miss: Having the energy to clean my house and the ability to button my pants comfortably. The bloating is crazy.

I am looking forward to: Easter! I think that we are going to spill the beans to more family members.

Milestones: Our baby is officially a fetus and I was able to pick up the heart rate using an at home fetal doppler that we purchased-- the Sonoline B. I highly recommend it to ease any anxiety. We were able to hear the heartbeat before the doctor could.

Exercise: I’m still walking on the treadmill every other day. I need to start weights.

Diet: I’ve been cooking in bulk. This week we had Taco soup a few nights and Lasagna a few nights. Yum.

Movement: The doctor says yes, but none that I can feel.

Gender: Everyone thinks it’s a boy. I went to the eye doctor today and even they said I’m having a boy because I didn’t experience terrible morning sickness throughout my first trimester. During all of my dreams I’m having a girl and/or twin girls. I’m not sure what that means.

Labor Signs: It’s far too soon for this!

You're so good to be exercising! I haven't done a damn thing. I tried in the second tri when I wasn't puking anymore, but I got bad cramping, so I decided against doing it more even tho the Dr. said it was fine.

I dreamt I was having a girl twice... I'm excited to hear if everyone is right about their gender guesses for you or not! :)

I dreamt that Darby was a boy twice, hahaha! (thought of that after reading the comment above).
I was scared pretty much the whole first trimester and then some. I kept feeling like something could be wrong because I wasn't having symptoms, etc...
It's a roller coaster, woman. Buckle up!

ur doing fine! :) its amazing when we fell pregnant again right after our second miscarriage which we have now found out that i was carrying twins and we lost one :( but im way greatful for the surviving one im carrying now :) but in our neighbour hood b4 we moved to australia we had one of the girls down the street who fell pregnant 2 weeks later i found out i was then 2 weeks after that my best friend across the road feel pregnant and then my close next door neighbour found out she was preggers to! we r all 2 weeks apart its crazy! girl, girl, boy, girl thats the line up for us :) lol i dreamnt that i was having a boy only bcuz my husband has a family "curse" its called u marry into the family and usually the first child u have sets the gender line up for the rest of ur babies...its either all boys or all girls its been that way for generations on his familys side....i am the first to have broken the so called curse...but then again i did have 2 miscarriages b4 being blessed with a baby girl....
water melon was my longest running craving :) and fresh fruit in general! lol lucky enough to have been summer here and all the tropical fruits were available! now i cant get enough spice to my food! im getting chillies by the pepper! Along with beef anything considering in the first and second trimester i couldnt handle and meat protiens at all.... when using the dopler are u picking up the placenta or the fetus? u can (not sure this early on) but maybe later u will be able to differ from the 2 different speeds :) its amazing to hear it tho!
