How to Manage Pregnancy- The First Half: Part 2

In the pregnancy world there is a serious debate.

DEMI PANEL...............

VS.

FULL PANEL..............

When I was like 12 weeks pregnant I went out and got a few cute things that were demi panel. They were so comfy.. it was like heaven in a pant.

Fast forward to week 18 and demi panel pants suck. They cut into your stomach, they are super low rise in the front and they are seriously uncomfortable once you develop that basketball look that most women have going mid second trimester.

Unless you are rich and can afford two types of pants and two pregnancy wardrobes.. GET THE FULL PANEL. Now, full panel pants are like heaven in a pant. If you are too small for the full panel at week 12, just fold/roll it down and you're good to go.

Trust me, this tip will save you a pretty penny.

My friend loved the full panel too! Although her conversations about the maternity underwear always cracked me up!

I liked the full panel and typically wore it with the oh, so fashionable "Belly Band" to keep it up!

The other thing about the full panel is it somehwat helped shield the ridiculousness that was my belly button..which turned into a major outtie at about 36 weeks with my first and like 20 weeks with my second.
I once had to put a bandaid over it because it poked out so damn much it looked like a nipple.

I hated the full panel! Even when I was huge! Only my belly was huge, not my hips, so the lack of support at the hip level was annoying. I felt like my pants were going to fall off half the time.
I'm sure that I'll be in the minority here, but I did not prefer the full panel at all.
=)

AFter three kids, I totally agree. I blogged a similar thought during my last pregnancy. Hang in there!
