Week 31

(sorry if the format is whack- I'm blogging via email.. from work).

Week 31- September 16th-September 22nd

Due Date: November 18, 2011

How Big is Baby: The baby is big. 17 inches long. That seems crazy to me.

Symptoms: Pregnancy is weird. Last week I didn't feel great, this week I've felt pretty good. I slept well, I moved well, I just felt well.

Cravings: Tootsie rolls and lobster rolls. Weird, huh? I have yet to find somewhere in Maryland that has lobster rolls. Boo.

Sleep: I'm sleeping. I'm still up every two hours for bathroom breaks and I'm still tired during the day- but at least I'm not laying there twiddling my thumbs anymore.

I Can't Live Without: Putting my feet up and biweekly pedicures (the foot massages are fabulous)

I Miss: Turkey sandwiches. I cannot wait to eat one everyday for a month.  Laying flat on my back.  One of the 16-20 weekers in my prenatal yoga class was laying flat on her back and I wanted to throat punch her (damn hormones).

I am Looking Forward to: November. We're in the home stretch now!

Milestones: The nursery is almost finished and I had both of my showers and we were spoiled.  The only things we didn't get were all of my breastfeeding supplies (we did get the pump though, which is MOST important), a monitor, our swing, exersaucer and a high chair.  Luckily, my mom found us an awesome swing for 3 dollars at a yard sale and bought us a pimped out exersaucer at a yard sale for only 20 bucks. We're not against used items in our family. In fact, 75% of baby's big ticket items are used including his 20 dollar dressers, 50 dollar glider/rocker, 20 dollar jumper and the other items we outlined above.  The only things we bought new (received as gifts from our awesome parents) were the carseat, crib, breastpump and stroller for safety reasons.  I think we're going to wait on purchasing the high chair to see if we really even need it. I'm assuming he's not going to use it anytime soon, so we have time to spare.

Awkward Moments: Nothing this week.

Exercise: Yoga is back on and I'm loving it. That two week hiatus really hurt!

Diet: I'm not on a diet. This is my free pass to eat whatever I like.

Movement: He's rolling around in there and he has the hiccups daily now.

Gender: It's a boy! Grayson Patrick!

You look so cute!

We didn't spend a fortune on baby stuff either. You picked the right items to get new. The other stuff is fine used. You never know if the baby will even like the swing or whatever, so why spend a ton of money on it?

You look great. The end of pregnancy sucks. Now that Isaac is out I am enjoying cold cuts and lying on my back. You are smart with all the used stuff -- we get a ton of hand-me-downs. Don't worry about the nursing supplies. Mostly you need boobs.

Wait, am I missing something? Why can't you have turkey??

Yay! You look adorable!!! Girl, I'm so with you. Baby stuff adds up SO quick and is so expensive. We got a ton of stuff off craigslist...we still do. We only bought a few things brand new and we saved everything and are using it all again now with Noah. I craved sushi the whole time I was pregnant with both boys. Hope you get some yummy lobster rolls to enjoy right after your sweet baby boy arrives. :)
